The day I lost my identity

The day started off like any other.

Well that’s a lie. I forgot to plug in my phone charger last night so I woke up to a nearly dead phone. Not that I’m complaining, it just kinda sucks. This morning I needed to finish reading a book for my 12:00 class. Only about 50 pages remaining. By the way, did I mention “this morning” is 10:00AM? Yeah… early riser.

To finish reading my book I decided to go to a new tea shop I noticed on Main Street across from Baja Bean the other day. Well, at least I thought it was new, because apparently it has been around since October. Sorry community. It’s a pretty neat place, so it’s disappointing no one was there. I walked in and the only other person there was the girl working. They had a pretty good selection, and I got some kind of black tea.

Not gonna lie, it was a little pricey. The tea itself was a little over $3. I had a $5 bill. I just used the rest as the tip because the girl was pretty cute. We’re all guilty of that, right?

Anyways, I got my tea, found a seat, plugged in my phone to charge and started reading. Not 5 minutes into my reading did the procrastination start to set in. I get on my phone (which is just barely holding a charge by now) and decide to check my bank account. I like to check it every now and again just to make sure everything is in order. Usually there is nothing to worry about. Ohh.. but today…..

Account balance: -$322. Hey… That’s not normal. Apparently there was a transaction of $376 with hostgator.com from my paypal account that took place sometime yesterday. Needless to say, my reading stopped there. I didn’t have my laptop with me so my first instinct was to go home because my laptop would be my best tool in a case like this (sorry dying phone).

Bank of America, then PayPal, then HostGator were contacted. The best news I’ve heard was that HostGator would refund my money within 48 hours. I changed my passwords on Google, PayPal, and BoA. Hopefully that will stop the theft.

Oh yeah.. My tea tasted like crap by the time I was able to drink it because I was too busy running around while it was steeping. I had to get some crappy coffee at 7-11 before my quiz instead.

The quiz went alright. My passwords are much stronger than before. My financial problems look like they will go back to normal in due time. Aaand, I have a good story to tell.

Take that hacker. The only thing you truly accomplished was the fact that I wrote this blog post. I hope you feel really good about yourself.

Ranking all the shows I’ve ever been to.

Something I always tend to do after I see a show is compare it to other shows I’ve seen in my past. I want to make a list of all the shows I can remember going to and rank them from my favorite to least favorite. I’m not including shows where I’ve gone to see a friend play, I’m only including the shows at the big venues where tickets are at least $10 or so.

I feel like I might need to explain myself on a couple of these. Feel free to ask if you have any questions.
